Collateral Vault
USDC you deposit for trading sits in a program-controlled collateral vault on Solana. Matching does not take custody. Fills do not move SPL.
How funds move
| Step | Where USDC is | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Arrive | Funding wallet | The wallet you connected at signup (Dynamic embedded or external). Incoming USDC shows here first. |
| Deposit | Trading wallet → vault | Depositing into the trading wallet moves USDC into shared custody in the vault. It is then available to trade. |
| Trade | Vault + GoDark ledger | Positions and buying power update on the ledger. No SPL transfer per fill. |
| Withdraw | Vault → recipient | The vault releases USDC. Ghost withdrawals can use a fresh ephemeral address so the payout is not publicly linked to your funding wallet. |
On testnet, fund via the GoDark Testnet Faucet. Full deposit steps: Deposit Funds.
What is on Solana
| On-chain | Not on-chain as a public tape |
|---|---|
| Aggregate vault balances (program-controlled SPL accounts) | Your order book, fills, or per-user trading ledger |
| Checkpoints for settlement | A readable balance for every trader after each match |
The public chain can see vault inflows and outflows. It cannot see the dark-pool book. See Privacy & Encryption and Settlement.
